ABIM Call For Reform In North Korea's

ABIM wish to pay its heartfelt condolence and tribute to the death of North Korea President, Kim Jong Il. With Jong Il passing away, Kim Jong Un as his father’s best choice for successor to rule the nation of 24 million people. Under the new leadership, ABIM hopes that Jong Un will committed to resume his father’s effort for peaceful reunification of Korea which eventually aiming at regional stability for East Asia.

ABIM concerns and believes that the keyword for the East Asia’s regional stability and peace lies on the effectiveness of dispute resolution negotiation in Korean Peninsula. We call on the new leadership in North Korea to use this transition of leadership for reform. In the modern world whereby majority of the countries subscribe to the idea of democracy, as a ‘Great Successor’ and new hope for the nation, Jong Un should seize the moment to pave the way towards democratic Korea.

This could be a great turning point for North Korea to thriving and prosper without any dictatorship. Furthermore, as a young leader belongs to Y Generation which synonymous with the idea of ‘rewrite the rules’, Jong Un needs some courage and boldness to start the first and gradual step of reform. The world is eagerly waiting for positive news from North Korea.

We respect the sovereignty and independent of North Korea for self determination and any form of foreign intervention should be condemned.
