RESOLUSI BERSAMA IBED 2022 / IBED COLLECTIVE RESOLUTION 2022


Alhamdulillah, Dialog antarabangsa Islam & Buddhism Eco Dialogue (IBED 2022) pada 15hb dan 16hb Januari 2022 yang akan memfokuskan isu perubahan iklim, telah berlangsung dengan jayanya. Bagi pihak ABIM Pusat, kami mengucapkan jutaan terima kasih kepada kesemua rakan strategic – Pejabat Dalai Lama, TBCC, ISTAC, VBCM dan ISIP yang memungkin program ini berjalan dengan cemerlang.

RESOLUSI BERSAMA IBED 2022

Menginsafi akan isu perubahan iklim dan kemorosotan alam sekitar yang melanda dunia, kami gabungan pertubuhan agama dan pendidikan terdiri dari Angkatan Belia Islam Malaysia (ABIM), Tibetan Buddhist Culture Centre (TBCC), Theravada Buddhist Council of Malaysia (TBCM), Vajrayana Buddhist Council of Malaysia (VBCM), International Institute of Islamic Thought & Civilization (ISTAC), dan International Students of Islamic Psychology telah menganjurkan Program Islam & Buddhism Eco Dialogue (IBED 2022) pada 15 & 16 Januari 2022.

Program ini adalah manifestasi komitmen masyarakat dunia khususnya dari penganut agama Islam dan Buddha terhadap usaha mempertahan alam sekitar dan keadilan iklim demi kelangsungan generasi akan datang.

Justeru, atas kesedaran dan komitemen terhadap perakar di atas, kami membentangkan resolusi penting seperti berikut:

i. Meneruskan dan memperkasa usaha dialog antara agama di peringkat lokal, nasional, dan antarabangsa sebagai wahana menambahbaik persefahaman antara masyarakat dunia yang berbilang agama dan kaum;

ii. Memupuk usaha mempertahankan alam secara bersama menerusi pentas dialog dan kerjasama antara agama bagi memastikan seluruh masyarakat dididik akan kepentingan menjaga alam ini berdasarkan pendidikan agama masing-masing;

iii. Berusaha untuk menyebarluaskan kesedaran mempertahan alam dan menangani perubahan iklim kepada seluruh pemimpin dunia untuk memastikan dasar-dasar kerajaan di dunia bersifat mapan dan berkelanjutan;

iv. Mempertahan hak kualiti hidup untuk generasi hari ini dan mendatang dengan komitmen berterusan untuk membawa agenda kehidupan mapan dan berkelanjutan;

v. Memupuk kefahaman bahawa peranan dan tanggungjawab mempertahankan bumi ini adalah dikongsi bersama, maka semua pihak perlu bertanggungjawab mencari solusi bersama.

Alhamdulillah. All praises belong to Allah, Islam & Buddhism Eco Dialogue 2022 has successfully ended. On behalf of ABIM, we would like to extend our gratitude to all partners – The office of His Holiness Dalai Lama, TBCC, ISTAC, VBCM and ISIP for making this event succeed.

IBED COLLECTIVE RESOLUTION 2022

Being a collective of religious and educational organizations concerned about climate change and the environment, we the undersigned are organising The Islam & Buddhism Eco Dialogue (IBED 2022) on 15 & 16 January 2022.

This program is a manifestation of the commitment of the world community, especially Muslims and Buddhists, to protecting the environment and advocating climate justice for the sustainability of future generations.

We resolve to:

i. Continue to strengthen inter-religious dialogue efforts at the local, national, and international levels to improve understanding between the world’s multi-religious and mutli-ethnic world communities;

ii. Foster efforts to protect the environment together through dialogue and cooperation between religions to ensure that the world is educated on the importance of protecting the environment based on their religious education;

iii. Spread awareness of protecting the environment and addressing climate change to all world leaders to ensure government policies in the world are sustainable;

iv. Defend the right to quality of life for today’s generation and continuously commit to bringing an agenda of sustainable living;

v. Foster the understanding that the responsibility of defending this earth is a shared one, and that all parties should cooperate to find a joint solution.
