2 August 2015; Dr Jasser Auda, prominent scholars on Maqasid Syariah has just concluded his short visit to Malaysia. Alhamdulillah he has participated in several program conducted in conjunction with his visit to Malaysia. This was his third visit to this country since May 2014 when he launches his book (translated in Malays) “Memahami Maqasid Syariah”.
During his short stay in this country, Dr Jasser show his enthusiasm to be able to have a dialogue with the youth on various issues. “Youth in Malaysia: smart, open minded, highly educated, and strongly committed to Islam. They need to be supported in their initiatives, they need Islamic thought that is opened and balanced, they need to realize their countries challenges and opportunities, and they need to be empowered,” said Dr Jasser who looks forward for return to this country in the near future.
