
17 March 2026 | 27 Ramadan 1447H:-The Muslim Youth Movement of Malaysia (ABIM) strongly condemns the continued actions of the Israeli regime in closing Masjid Al-Aqsa and preventing Muslims from performing their religious duties, particularly during the final days of Ramadan and as Muslims around the world prepare to celebrate Eid al-Fitr.
This action is not merely a religious issue, but a clear violation of freedom of religion, as well as a serious breach of international law and fundamental principles of human dignity. The closure of Masjid Al-Aqsa at such a spiritually significant time reflects a pattern of inhumane oppression and a deeply troubling culture of impunity.
Masjid Al-Aqsa is a sacred site for Muslims and a symbol of the dignity of the ummah. Restricting access to it is not merely a physical act, but a systematic denial of the rights, identity and dignity of the Palestinian people.

In this context, ABIM welcomes and supports the call made by the Prime Minister of Malaysia for the immediate reopening of Masjid Al-Aqsa, as well as his appeal to the international community to take more decisive and effective action.
ABIM believes that this position is consistent with universal principles of justice and international legal obligations that guarantee freedom of worship. However, this issue cannot continue to be addressed through statements alone.
The continued failure of the international community to act decisively can no longer be interpreted as neutrality, but rather as acquiescence to ongoing violations. This only reinforces the culture of impunity enjoyed by the Israeli regime and further undermines the credibility of the international system.
